The works represents the student's struggles with mental health and how this affects her self image. The embroidery is bright and luminous which is contrasts the artist's self-portrait photographs and overall message of the work. The work has been created by Ffion who attends Thames Valley School which is a learning environment that supports students with Autism. Ffion experiences anxiety and finds that expressing herself through her Art helps to provide some relief. Ffion gets her inspiration from her love of reading and her own inner creativity.
