Portrait of a Husky
Ismaeel, Age 7
Oil pastels were used to sketch the shape and features of the husky’s face. Dark and light pastels were blended to show the smoothness of the nose and depth inside the ears. Vigorous strokes and mark-making created the fur texture. Ismaeel says, 'I used oil pastels and drew small lines. I used the grey for a shade.'
