Oil pastels were used to sketch the shape and features of the husky’s face. Dark and light pastels were blended to show the smoothness of the nose and depth inside the ears. Vigorous strokes and mark-making created the fur texture. Ruby says, 'I like how I done the fur. We done back forwards to make the fur look realistic.'
