Northumbrian Norman

Norman was inspired by my dad who suggested I make a pufferfish at my first ever pottery workshop. It was a challenge to create him in 3 hours, especially as I managed to sculpt all 29 spines, but I was really pleased with the result. The holes in each spine create a mesmerising effect when a tea light or incense cone is lit inside. I returned to the pottery studio to glaze Norman using the colours of the Northumberland flag and have since started helping there in my spare time.
