Churchfields Park
Euan, Age 14
I was inspired by David Hockney to create this piece. I started by taking a random picture of a green field near my home and then tried to see it through Hockney's eyes. I used acrylic paint, like Hockney, to elevate the feel of the environment. I built up the picture by using different types of brushstrokes to bring texture, especially to the large patch of grass. The simplistic style makes me think of playing in the local park during school holidays.
