My Brother

This painting was inspired by the shapes that light creates as it hits a face. For this painting, I looked at a range of artists for inspiration and found that artists that use dramatic lighting in their paintings influenced me most. I wanted to capture my brother's personality and also his likeness by using a limited palette of primaries and white.
