My Identity
Sahan, Age 13
Through careful observation and application of drawing techniques such as side pencil, this monoprint is the outcome of a project on the self-portrait. Inspired by identity, this carbon monoprint was created by using a range of mark-making techniques to communicate texture, such as cross-hatching, directional line and scumbling. The shadows and highlights of the artwork were created through careful observation and varying pressure of the pencil.
