Doing hair is a moment of bonding between Black families that is truly unique, and I wanted to capture that spark through a charcoal drawing of my brother after his locks had been freshly done in the barrel hairstyle. I was inspired by the warm familial emotions that are evoked when sitting and getting your hair done.
