I wanted to capture my dad in a place of sanctuary after a hard day's work taking care of people as a GP for the NHS. He works long hours and asks for nothing other than a nice sit down on the sofa afterwards. This painting is celebration of him and all the other NHS workers who work tirelessly without complaint.
