In this particular shoot I wanted to contradict the clean aesthetic ballet dancers are associated with by messing it up and adding flour to it. Ballet dancers are constantly under scrutiny to be perfect and make no mistakes, however I wanted to use this photograph as a reminder that this isn't always necessary to make beautiful art. I feel that the flour gives the photograph life as it adds depth and a variety of textures.
