I used acrylic paint on wood because I felt it would give a bold and textured feeling. I was inspired by scenic pictures in my art class and decided to turn the sky into a sunset because I love looking at the sunsets from my bedroom window. I painted small boats to add to the tranquil feeling of the landscape and I chose bright colours for the flowers to make it feel like summer.
