The Blue Mosque

The Blue Mosque is the inspiration for this piece. My goal was to create a landscape that incorporates elements of Islamic architecture. The mosque is in Istanbul. It was constructed between 1609 and 1617 during the rule of Ahmed I and remains a functioning mosque today.
