My practice explores my identity as a young Muslim woman and the normality of everyday life. This work focuses on my relationship with my hijab, how throughout the day I am constantly adjusting it as it moves and falls from my shoulder. I used a combination of mod roc and plaster to represent the solidity of my hijab in my life and have suspended them at my height to allow the viewer to see the world from my perspective.
