At Let's Make Art's Afterschool Art Club, we looked at the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species and chose an endangered animal, insect or plant to paint with watercolours. When dry, we added details with paint pens. Art is a good way of letting people know about the problems with our planet, especially endangered animals. We also want to raise awareness of the United Nations SDGs 14 and 15; Life Below Water and Life on Land by submitting our work. The card we painted on was from a local charity, The Children's Scrapstore. They are given surplus items from businesses and manufacturers which saves them from landfill.
