Autumn Wood

I live near a wood and enjoy walking there. I wanted to capture the essence of the place. I layered acrylic paint, thinking about colour and atmosphere. I used a variety of mark-making techniques from sponging different colours to painting in detail. I liked the idea of the autumn leaves leaving a red carpet on the woodland floor.
