  • Acrylic paint on watercolour paper
  • A4 landscape

I prefer not to start with a subject when I’m painting. I like to see what comes to life on the paper and develop a concept as I go along. I am interested in how colours work together and I proactively chose the brush type, paper and colours to create depth, texture and vibrancy to give the piece a specific look and feel. I enjoyed seeing how far I could take those elements.

After creating this piece and many others, I began to find out about abstract art and realised I have been working in this style without even knowing it. I am looking forward to discovering artists like me. I am also passionate about textiles.
