Fred the Frog

'Fred the Frog' was inspired by an autumn walk. It was a rainy day while walking with my parents and younger brother when we saw a busy puddle full of tiny frogs. I decided to create a portrait of a tropical frog inspired by one of the frogs that stood out among the others due to the light reflecting on its skin. I chose to use acrylic paints to catch all its green, yellow, blue and orange tonalities. During the next four weeks, I painted on a canvas the autumn frog for about two hours a week. I am extremely pleased with the final piece.
