This piece was inspired by a text extract from 'The Weird and The Eerie' by Mark Fischer. I explored the relationship between the weird, being that it is something which is there but is not meant to be. My interpretation of this included looking at mythopoesis, this idea of fictioning and how that accompanies this notion of the weird. The pigeons symbolise this fictioning relationship. This piece is large in scale and for me is experimental, using acrylic to suggest what the unseen or weird feeling may convey - this of course is subjective in nature.
