I have collected shells all my life. One of the shocks of lockdown was being stuck in London with no outings to beaches, no stones to throw into the sea or shells to pop into my pockets. Mourning the loss of the coast, I turned to my collections of shells and stones. Lockdown gave me the opportunity to spend time with them - organising and categorising them and recalling the associated memories. This photographic lumen captures 13 shells from different locations in the UK and abroad from different times of my life.
