“Painting makes me happy and this my painting of my feelings.”
Betsie enjoys painting intuitive abstracts. Through her mark making and colour selection, she is able here to express how she feels. This abstract painting was created in spring during lockdown and reflects how she was feeling at that time. She was missing her grandparents very much at the time of painting this, so there are shapes of stars, flowers and colours that remind her of her family.
“Green is Nanny’s favourite colour, so this flower is for Nanny. Granny likes turquoise, so the sea is for Granny”.
