My photograph focuses on themes of architecture becoming obsolete over time and the themes of desolation and abandonment. The photo has a sense of flawed symmetry, both sides of the buildings contrast and mirror one another simultaneously. I feel as though this perfectly represents the ideas of old and new trends in consumer needs for buildings. The high contrasted black and white further reinforces this idea of a juxtaposition. I took this image at a local industrial estate near me which has an increasing number of unoccupied properties. The photo was taken as part of my A-Level project.
