Due to the frustration I felt from working on smaller scale pieces, I decided to paint on the biggest board I could find in school. I quickly found that it allowed for far more expressive painting, which is what led me to begin my journey into visual documentation in the first place. Taking influence from artists like Basquiat and Albert Oehlen, I began painting and drawing abstract symbols that reflected my rawest thoughts without filter. I found that working in such a way allowed for me to explore my own beliefs and feelings.
