I vividly remember landing at Entebbe airport in Uganda: the colours were immensely evocative. The sandy red-orange soil had drifted onto the edges of the runway. Lake Victoria stretched beyond the horizon, sparking and rippling gently, and the vegetation - palms, bushes, and grasses - were so vital, green, and alive. This was clearly not England. In my printmaking, I hope I convey the vivid colours and the importance they hold to me.
