This is a collection of images from my personal project taken in the May of 2019. Having drawn inspiration from film directors such as David Lynch and Alfred Hitchcock I have come to appreciate how imagery can not only create mood but enhance it. I went into the studio with the intention of creating something different, opting to get more physical with the subject. As the subject moved, handfuls of flour were thrown at them creating a ‘mist’ that fills the negative space. This exaggerated the emotions in a bleak way that lends itself to an eerie surrealism, in a style which somewhat resembles the work of photographer Luca Peirro.
