Rowan, Year 9
Painted as part of a series of 13 portraits of 13 year olds, painted whilst Rowan the artist, was 13. Rowan painted the portraits of her friends as a way of questioning the 'selfie and filter' culture which exists amongst teenagers at the moment. She wanted to portray a different reality of what it is like to be a teenager in an unfiltered world.
