The Sticker Project

On a rainy afternoon clear-out, I decided to start using and repurposing the thousands of stickers I had accumulated from birthday presents, party bags and purchases of my own. The Sticker Project took almost 2 years, having to be rolled up and stored in between sessions as it took up so much floor space. The pandemic was a perfect opportunity to complete such a large piece. I found doing this work very relaxing and therapeutic and a great focus to escape from the long days of lockdown. This was inspired by Yayoi Kusama’s Obliteration Room from Tate in 2012.
