Red Bell Peppers

I was inspired by Angela Faustina's realistic fruit paintings, but I added my own twist by using red peppers. I enjoyed creating my own composition. By photographing the bell peppers, I was able to control how I wanted certain things to look. I picked my favourite photo and painted it. I love the vibrancy of the red and how is contrasts from the black background. The large canvas allowed me to add more details to the painting that may have been less visible on a smaller scale.
