Ganesha is one of my favourite gods. Ganesha or Ganapati is the son of Lord Shiva and Parvati. He is also depicted as the God of intelligence and understanding. His big ears teach us that we should be a good listener. He is worshipped before starting anything auspicious as He is considered as the remover of all obstacles. His large elephant head symbolises wisdom, understanding and intellect that one must possess to attain perfection. The wide mouth represents natural human desire to enjoy life. His small eyes symbolise importance of focus. His big belly symbolises digesting all good and bad in life.
