I saw an artwork on social media that I was excited to try at home during lockdown. The artist had drawn over a statue using white paint. Statues have been in the news a lot recently due to the protest around the controversial celebration of history. Without access to a statue, I visited charity shops to locate an object that I could cover with my own 'graffiti'. This image of Nelson by Rigaud cost 60 pence and was already framed! I layered patterns, instructions and anatomy over the print using a white paint pen. I am proud of how this work has turned out and will be taking two creative GCSE's next year on my path to a career in the arts.
