She is looking for her long-lost lover. She is trying to see him in the distance, trying to make peace in her mind, understanding she is no longer addicted to him and his unnatural and toxic love. All the colours are reflecting what the subject is going through. The painting is not trying to reflect the idea of idolising or glorifying her lover, instead, it is the representation of how the world is making her feel, with the fog around as the world is trying to hide one of its most beautiful creatures.
