Photograph of textile veils exploring cultural clothing around the MENA region. I am reinterpreting designs with a contemporary approach. I based my headpieces from the modern Yemeni niqab style and weaved and knitted the veils and the hood called ‘Kom Kom’, while using the most used colour schemes and shapes consistently found across the region from El-Sadu to Turkish Kilim weave patterns.
