The Youth Aren’t Young

I’ve often been told that I’m too young to know what I want, or too young to understand the rotten world I live in. But I think the people who say these things aren’t saying it because they think it’s true, they’re saying it because they’re scared. Scared of the future and the changes that my generation are bringing to the world. This is our future and our time. Yes, I am just thirteen. Yes, that makes me young, but that doesn’t make me immature. We, the youth of today, know exactly what we want and exactly how the people running the world are destroying our futures.
