P is for Pig
Vincent, Age 5
At the start of lockdown one, Vincent struggled with structure and focus so I needed to find a task to keep him on target, as we were initially unable to access school work. Vincent started to create an ABC of animals and creatures and pretty soon it became apparent that he had a real skill regarding colour, shape, perspective and character. This pig embodies such comical characteristics and I don't know of anyone who hasn't laughed when they've seen Vincent's pig (I think we've all felt a bit like this pig over the last year or so!). His skill also developed week by week using mixed media such as watercolour and gouache and taking up to six to ten hours to complete by the end of the project.
