This painting represents the daily struggles for those who suffer from anxiety; feeling as if they are being watched, judged, criticised for the way they are. My two main inspirations for this piece were Mona Osman and Emilio Villalba. I chose Osman because she explores the different stages of an ‘emotional outburst.' As for Villalba, eyes are a predominant visual in his work and I used these as a symbol of the judgement of others.
