My Hero - Ozil

We had a school art competition about heroes. I knew I had to choose Ozil. He has been my favourite footballer since I was five and I have looked up to him as the person I wanted to be from my favourite club, Arsenal. I wanted to make a sculpture because I’d never done one before. It took a long time, more than 3 weeks because I kept having to wait for the glue and paper to dry. I’m pleased with what I made because I can feel a personal connection to it. The only problem is I’ve not been able to wear my best football shirt for ages.
