What About Now?

I created this painting in response to the horrific state that our environment is in today. The painting consists of a plastic collage (constructed from plastic bags) layered underneath an acrylic painting. My painting questions my viewers by showing them what it would be like if plastic was literally embedded into our home environment. My painting represents and shows my viewers what it is like for the thousands of animals living amongst our dirt and waste. Maybe after seeing this, society will stop being so hypocritical and instead actively help our environment, instead of just sitting back and watching our world turn to a giant landfill site.
